a space to learn.

We declare this a space for learning!  We hope that you can learn from your visit here, and that it creates a desire to learn more about Native issues that are closest and most important to you.  Everyone learns in different ways so we hope that through our stories, research, resources, and videos,  that we have connected with you in some way.  Hopefully this is just one point in your quest to learn about Aboriginal / non-Aboriginal relations in British Columbia.

a space to share.

We hope that this space will create a little inspiration.   Many of us can recall a time in our lives where subjects such as  aboriginal land relations arise in conversation, and we know those conversations can become uneasy.  However they are an important part of moving forward towards a new space of social equality and understanding. We would love for you to share your story on our "Your Story" page, and we hope that you can learn from others who have shared their stories!

a space to teach.

If you visit this place and find it insightful and interesting in any way, we think that you should SHARE  it.  By sharing this space, you are contributing to a movement.  If you reach one other person and this site teaches them one thing, than THANK YOU!  You have become part of an important movement.  Teaching can come in all kinds of ways so even if you are not a teacher, be a teacher.  Lead by example.

"Even if you are not a teacher, be a teacher." Tim Minchin
a space of difference.

British Columbia is a unique province with a unique set of problems, specific to Aboriginal and Non-Aboriginal relations.  We believe that this space can make a DIFFERENCE by involving people from all different backgrounds and educations- challenging them to fight through the frustration and uneasyness, into a new space where aboriginal stereotypes are non-existant.
